DAVID J. WEINREICH, M.D. F.A.C.C.
Dr. Weinreich's involvement in countless organizations is proof positive that his heart belongs to our community. His lengthy list of programs and services includes the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association (Dutchess Region), Program Director of the American Heart Association Cardiology Educational Series, and Program Director for Vassar Brothers Medical Center Cardiology Update Educational Series.
Dr. Weinreich was voted "Physician of the Year” by Vassar Brothers Medical Center and serves as Vice President of the Medical Staff. He was recognized with an Outstanding Service Award for Quality Improvement in Hospital Cardiology by the American Heart Association. He twice won the distinction “Program Volunteer of the Year” by that same organization. Dr. Weinreich also holds a Distinguished Service Award from the Mid-Hudson Health’s Continuing Medical Education Committee.
He was on the Dean's List at his undergraduate college, Franklin and Marshall in Lancaster, PA. He subsequently received his M.D. degree from Hahnemann University, Philadelphia, PA, then completed his internship and residency at the same location. His fellowship in cardiovascular disease was completed at Lankenau Hospital, of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Weinreich is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in cardiovascular disease, Board Certified in Nuclear Cardiology, and is also a Fellow with the American College of Cardiology. He is a prolific medical writer and has conducted numerous research studies in his field.
