LAWRENCE W. SOLOMON, M.D. F.A.C.C.
If the Heart Center has succeeded in attracting many of the world’s top talent, much of the credit goes to Dr. Solomon who serves as head of our Recruitment Committee. He is a well-respected resource for transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and often lectures on the subject. He’s also an important contributor to the design concept for our Fishkill office.
A magna cum laude graduate of Princeton University with a major in molecular biology, he completed his M.D. at Yale University School of Medicine where he was recognized as a Farr Scholar, a Merck Award recipient, and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His internship and residency were completed at the New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, where he was honored once again, this time with the C. Richard Bowman, M.D. Award and the title of Assistant Chief resident. He completed his cardiovascular fellowship, with an emphasis in non-invasive cardiac imaging, from the University of Chicago, where he was the Chief Cardiology Fellow.
He is a Diplomate, American Board of Internal Medicine as well as a Diplomate of the Subspecialty Board in Cardiovasular Diseases. He is certified by the American Board in Nuclear Cardiology and the National Board of Echocardiology.
A member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and the American Society of Echocardiography, Dr. Solomon Donates his time generously to serve his community and profession.
