LOUIS W. KANTAROS, M.D. F.A.C.C.
Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Vassar Brother's Medical Center and St. Francis Hospital, Dr. Louis Kantaros brings a distinguished academic background and a lengthy list of notable research studies to his position with us at the Hudson Valley Heart Center.
He is a Fellow of the New York Cardiologic Society, the American College of Cardiology and the Clinical Council of the American Heart Association. In addition, he holds board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine, with subspecialties in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
A graduate of Amherst College and Georgetown University School of Medicine, he completed postgraduate training in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School's Deaconess Hospital followed by a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the same institution. Dr. Kantaros then completed an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Albany Medical Center.
