SIMON GORWARA, M.D. F.A.C.C.
Prize-winning research, numerous awards, multiple board certifications and a wide range of professional experience combine to make Dr. Gorwara ideally suited to represent our facility in his role as an interventional cardiologist, as well as Director of our Peripheral Vascular Program.
After completing undergraduate work at the Christian Medical College in India, Dr. Gorwara came to the US for internal medicine residency training at New Jersey Medical School. A fellowship in critical care medicine at the North Shore University Hospital was quickly followed by one in cardiovascular diseases at SUNY at Stony Brook and later another, this time in interventional cardiology, at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.
Highlighting a long list of honors is an award for Excellence in Patient Care from Hackensack University, and a prize for his extensive research studies at the same facility. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with subspecialty Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Critical Care Medicine.
His expertise in both non-invasive and interventional cardiology has made him an invaluable member of our team since 2001. Dr. Gorwara currently performs the highest volume of peripheral interventions in the region, a tribute to his stellar reputation and excellent procedure outcomes.
