HARSHAN WEERACKODY, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Some of the best experience to be gained in the medical profession comes from working at very busy hospitals in metropolitan areas. Dr. Weerackody brought that experience with him when he came to us in 2004 from Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, where he was the director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory. He also was an assistant professor of medicine at SUNY Downstate.

He is a graduate of NCMC Sri Lanka. He completed his residency and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Coney Island Hospital.

Dr. Weerackody is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.

He is an international traveler as well as an accomplished amateur photographer. His photographs have been published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
