ANTHONY J. MESSINA, M.D. Originally from Northern Westchester, Dr. Anthony Messina has always felt a deep connection to New York and is extremely pleased to be practicing in the Hudson Valley. Aware early on of his aspiration to practice medicine, Dr. Messina began his undergraduate studies at Boston College, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Honors Program with a major in Chemistry. He then went on to attain his medical degree from New York University′s School of Medicine. His internal medicine training, internship and residency continued at New York University Medical Center where he was awarded the position of Chief Resident of the Department of Medicine. After serving successfully as Chief Resident, Dr. Messina pursued a cardiovascular fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, N.J. During this specialty training, he focused upon non-invasive cardiology; including Echocardiography, Trans-Esophageal Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiac CTA.
Along with his specialized training, Dr. Messina is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is Board Certified in nuclear cardiology and is fluent in Spanish and Italian. His commitment to providing progressive and compassionate care to his patients serves as the driving force in his practice of medicine.
