SANJAYA JHA, M.D., PH.D., F.A.C.C.

The Heart Center may not be old in years, but our traditions are already taking hold and growing. For example, we have insisted upon academic excellence in the doctors we attract to our staff. That insistence has become a tradition that should be of great comfort to our patients. It means we attract physicians of distinction who enjoy locating in the region for the same reasons you do-a great quality of life in one of the country′s most beautiful areas.

Continuing that tradition is Dr. Sanjaya Jha, MD, PhD, FACC who joined the Heart Center in 2004 following a career as an instructor and research scientist at Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Dr. Jha′s educational background spanned the continent. After receiving an MD from the Stanford University School of Medicine, he earned his doctorate in biochemistry from the same institution.

He then journeyed to the University of Pennsylvania Hospital for a residency and fellowship in cardiovascular disease before accepting a position at the Harvard Medical School.
