RICHARD GOSSELIN , M.D., F.S.C.A.I.Joining the Heart Center in August 2009, Dr. Gosselin brings his cardiac and peripheral interventional experience to help grow the new PAMI program at St. Lukes/Cornwall Hospital. Dr. Gosselin joins the cardiac and peripheral team that services the Hudson Valley in providing prompt response to patients needing urgent care to open their coronary arteries when having a heart attack.
Dr. Gosselin attended Georgetown University School of Medicine followed by his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Tufts New England Medical Center. He attended the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and followed this by attending the Interventional cardiology fellowship at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA. It was here he developed his skills in percutaneous coronary intervention, intravascular ultrasound and rotational atherectomy. He also honed his skills in percutaneous closure of atrial septal defect/patent foramen ovale. In addition to the above skills he has received his level 2 training in Nuclear Cardiology as well as in Echocardiography.
Dr. Gosselin is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and board eligible in Interventional Cardiology. He is also boarded in Nuclear Cardiology.
