About Us
Hudson Valley Heart Center has been working in the region since 1977. Since then, the number of patients we serve has grown, and so has our network of alliances.
We have emerged as a center of excellence for cardiovascular care in the Hudson Valley, and hold the unique distinction of receiving national recognition and accreditation for our Nuclear, Eco, and Vascular Imaging labs. To qualify for accreditation, we were assessed by independent National Accreditation Organizations who determined we meet and exceed the highest levels of quality care and standards of excellence.
We offer same day appointments, no referrals necessary, so we can see you as quickly as you want to see us.
We are affiliated with Vassar Brothers Medical Center, called “One of the Top 100 hospitals in the nation” by Modern Healthcare, as well as St. Francis Hospital, Northern Dutchess Hospital, and St. Luke’s/Cornwall Hospital.
HISTORY
The Heart Center was established in 1977 by several cardiologists who were united by their vision to bring the very best cardiovascular medical services to the Hudson Valley. As their vision became reality, the Heart Center steadily expanded. Presently, we have a roster of twenty-one board certified cardiologists whom we have recruited from the most prestigious educational and training programs in the world. These exceptionally qualified physicians are based at seven different locations: Poughkeepsie, New Windsor, Fishkill, Rhinebeck, Highland and Modena in New York.
Through the years we have remained at the forefront of our area of specialization, bringing world class medicine and technology to the Hudson Valley region. Today, the Heart Center is respected for our ability to provide cardiovascular services that equal or surpass those found in any large metropolitan area anywhere in the world.
MISSION STATEMENT
Supported by strong physician and non-physician leadership, The Heart Center functions as a cohesive and integrated physician-driven organization which will:
- Continue to expand, integrate, and coordinate the delivery of compassionate, high quality, cost effective heart and vascular care.
Continually seek to improve patient and provider access to needed heart and vascular care through increased regional physician availability and related market development initiatives.
Lower morbidity and mortality rates secondary to heart and vascular disease and enhance the quality of life for all patients served.
OUR VISION
The Heart Center will become recognized and accepted as the preferred provider of a full range of heart and vascular preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, and disease management services. In addition, we are committed to being immediately responsive at all times toward the heart and vascular needs and demands of the general public, the medical community, and the insurance industry throughout Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, Columbia, Green, Putnam, and Sullivan Counties.
