The Heart Center congratulates CEO Kathy Kazakoff and Billing Dept in achieving Certified Professional Coder Status(CPC).  Billing staff members Christine Johnson, Jennifer Murphy , Janina Urquhart, and Kathy Kazakoff sat for the 5+ hr exam provided by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)which rigorously evaluated their billing knowledge on ICD3, CPT and HCPCS for physician practice billing.  AAPC's outpatient-focused credentials—including the gold standard CPC®—represent the highest level of coding expertise and adherence to strict ethical standards. AAPC-credentialed coders are preferred by physicians and payer organizations.
